Internet mapping and GPS is wiping the UK history off the map, according to one of Britain’s leading map experts.
Mary Spence, President of the British Cartographical Society says hundreds of churches, stately homes and historic landmarks are not being represented in online maps or GPS systems and are fading from public consciousness as a result.
Argus Car Hire has always encouraged our customers to get out into the countryside and explore the local history and heritage and with our fantastic rates, you can always afford to take the scenic route!

Up to 900 passengers were left stranded on both sides of the Atlantic yesterday when budget airline Zoom grounded all flights after announcing that they were going into administration.
The airline blamed its financial difficulties on huge rises in fuel bills as a result of the high price of oil.
Zoom’s money troubles first came to light on Wednesday when a Zoom flight from Paris to Calgary was grounded at an airport in Canada.
Meanwhile, the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority yesterday ordered a Halifax bound flight to be detained at Glasgow airport over the non-payment of charges.
Passengers then began queuing for a flight to Vancouver which never left the ground.
