The Irish government has told Aer lingus that unless it re-instates a Shannon to Heathrow service, there will be substantially more support among TDs for the Ryanair takeover bid.Â

Virgin Atlantic is following in the footsteps of British Airways by reducing its surcharges on all of its flights.  Today’s reductions will save passengers up to £60 (€65) on a long-haul return flight in economy class.
