One in three men say they get nervous when their wife gets behind the wheel, a new UK study reveals.
A third of men say they find themselves stamping down on imaginary pedals because their wife or girlfriend brakes too late.
Others say they can’t let go of the seat.
One in ten admit they were once forced to grab the steering wheel to avoid an accident.
The survey was included the opinions of 3,000 men and was carried out by One Poll.com.
Cue flashbacks to that 90s BBC documentary, ‘Driving School’. Who can forget Welsh couple Maureen and Dave Rees?! Whoooa Whoooa Whooa Whooa Whooa…..
Commenting on the research, a spokesperson said “Most men feel they are better drivers than the women in their lives. They believe they concentrate a lot better, read road situations more quickly and clearly and have better reactions. One in five say they couldn’t relax when their other half is driving.”
The study also revealed that one in five couples argue while driving.
Men should really practice what they preach…according to the latest Home Office figures, 97% of all driving offences are committed by men.
