Brits Love to Drive-Whatever the Cost

Research by Esure car insurance suggests that UK drivers would need to be subjected to another huge increase in fuel prices before they’d contemplate giving up their cars.
76% of those surveyed admitted to worrying about rising fuel prices, but 17% said they would be prepared to hand over more than £2 a litre to keep their car.
The results of the study by Esure found petrol would need to climb to £1.75 (€2.25) before drivers would consider taking the bus.
Almost 50% of those surveyed said they would never consider trading their car for public transport – no matter what the cost.
