Can I Hire a Car in Alicante, Spain?
Posted on September 28, 2009 by Fiona Hilliard
Dear Editor,
I want to hire a car in Alicante, Spain, this October for half term. After hearing a lot of stories about a shortage of cars, I’m wondering about availability. Also, I’d like your advice on some interesting drives outside of the usual resorts. It will just be my wife, our two children and myself – any suggestions you have for our trip would be great…

Hi Andy
You should be fine in terms of availability this October. At the moment, we’ve got some very cheap car hire deals in Spain including Alicante Airport car hire from just £18 (€20) per day. This rate is valid for bookings from October 25th to November 1st 2009 and is based on the rental of a mini/economy-sized vehicle. Of course, this rate is subject to availability, so you’ll have to book early to make sure you get this price. It’s easy to let bargains like this slip by if you wait until the last minute to book – so why wait, book now! Alicante is a great destination for children – not only are there lots of clean beaches, Alicante also offers plenty of family – friendly attractions that are guaranteed to keep everyone amused. Might I suggest you and the family make a day of it at Terra Mitica Theme Park? A day trip to the pretty village of Altea is also a great way to spend a few hours. This pretty town retains much of its old- fashioned charm and offers a good selection of restaurants and cafés. The beaches of nearby Denia are also well worth a visit. With 14km of coastline, there’ s space for all.
Hope you find this information useful!
Fiona
