EastEnders soap actress Patsy Palmer and Take That’s Mark Owen are just two public figures who have recently come out in support of caravan holidays in the UK.

Latest figures show that caravans are not the preserve of boy band members and “RickAAAY” wailing red heads however. Campervan hire and caravan holidays are on the up all across the UK this summer.  Travel experts see the trend as a response to the current economic slump, a weak Sterling and  increased mortgage repayments.
According to the National Caravan Council, caravan bookings rose by 20% for July and August. 

Commenting on the upswing in domestic caravan holidays, chief executive of Hoseason Holiday, Richard Carrick says:  “We have seen a real boost in booking figures over the last couple of months and the strength of the Euro is having a really positive impact on UK bookings.”
