Winter is by far the best time of year to search for the cheapest rates for Alicante car hire.
Even though the busy summer season is over, most resorts remain open in Alicante in December.
Holidaymakers who are fed up with the British winter are more and more turning their backs on the cold and heading off to sunnier climes like Alicante in search of a little bit of heat.
The weather probably isn’t hot enough for lying by the pool and sunbathing, but with temperatures hovering around the 12C mark, visitors can escape the damp (flooded) plains of Great Britain and enjoy a week or two without fear of being caught in a nasty non-stop downpour or blown away by an industrial strength gale.
Alicante car hire gives holidaymakers the chance to really get to know the Costa Blanca. Scenic routes worth exploring include the picture-perfect town Javea. Javea is located just 85 km for Alicante. The Old Town is definitely worth a look. With its narrow, winding streets, colourful market and beautiful Gothic church, Javea’s Old Town has bucket-loads of character. Don’t forget to check out the port. It’s the type of place where you can spend hours sitting outside a sleepy, waterfront café, watching fishermen reeling in their catch of the day.
Once you snap out of daydream mode make sure you take a wander round the many shops located in and around the surrounding streets. It’s here you’ll get a real taste of daily life in the Costa Blanca.
