More flights: EasyJet

EasyJet has just announced details of its 2012 schedule.  The airline will now be offering 110,000 flights in 300 destinations.  That’s an extra 18 million seats looking to be filled between March 25 and September 2 2012.

Extra seats have been added to destinations such as Barcelona, Alicante, Madrid and Rome, while the routes are due to be expanded from the UK.

Summer seats for the airline’s newest base in Southend airport have also gone on sale for the first time – something to keep in mind if you’re renting a car in Amsterdam, looking for car hire in Alicante, Barcelona, Belfast, Faro, Ibiza, car rental Malaga or Majorca car hire.

Fares for EasyJet’s 10 UK departure airports start at £21.99 one way including taxes.

Commenting on the new routes, EasyJet UK director Paul Simmons said: “With winter fast approaching, the launch of our summer 2012 schedule allows passengers to look forward and book early to secure the best fares for annual sunshine holidays and weekend getaways next year.

“Business passengers can also benefit from easy and affordable travel to the widest range of European city destinations yet, to central airports at convenient times. In addition to this we’re adding even more choice in 2012 with the announcement of a host of new destinations from our UK bases in the coming weeks.”
