Goodbye Canada!

It was our final day in Canada. We were back in Montreal. It sounds clichéd but time had flown! We were sorry to leave. Before we hit the road though, we had a dinner date with the two Isabelles. We first met the two Isabelles in Dublin when they were travelling Europe a year ago. To avoid confusion we’ll call one of them Kenny on account of her hoody addiction. Like us they were techy students and we had lots in common. It was great to find out how things were going for them. Kenny was still studying, meanwhile Isabelle was carving out a career in IT sales. Good food and good company, I couldn’t think of a better way to end our tour of Canada and the US. It was a nice evening too, so we were able to sit outside and dine al fresco at a nice little Italian restaurant. At the end of the evening we said our goodbyes and wished the girls all the best. Isabelle is moving to France next summer so we’ll meet again no doubt.
We took to the road for the last time, driving to the airport in the early hours of the morning to catch our flight back to Dublin. The rental agent carried out a few checks on our car hire, before we left. Thankfully we passed the clipboard test and dropped off our car without a problem. All in all I have to say, Canada is a great place to tour with car hire, there’s so much to see and do and there’s always something going on, wherever you travel. We found the locals really open and friendly and got to meet lots of new and old friends. I know where I’ll be spending next summer!
