It’s not all doom and gloom at London’s Heathrow Airport.  Car Hire UK customers can look forward to Europe’s largest car rental depot which has just been opened by Europcar UK Group, the UK’s leading rental car provider, with an investment of over £1m.  The new 3.4 acre site is situated close to the new Terminal 5 building on the Perimeter Road. 

A whole new building has been designed to capture increased traffic to and from the airport as a whole. 

The new location has a total fleet of 4,500 vehicles and resources to handle up to 190,000 check-ins and checkouts per annum, supporting customers from all brands in the Europcar UK Group-Europcar, National Car Rental, Alamo Rent A Car and Guy Salmon Prestige Rental.  The new base features a courtesy coach that provides a highly frequent service between all terminals, with a dedicated facility for Terminal 5. 

Commenting on the new site, John Leigh Managing Director of Europcar UK Group said:
