Heathrow Makes A Bags of It Again

Heathrow is counting itself amongst the airports hit by a computer glitch that has left thousands of passengers without their luggage.
The technical problem meant passengers all over Europe could not be electronically linked to their bags.
Gatwick, Stansted and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport were also affected.
British Airways has said it is doing all it can to reunite passengers with their bags. They said it had nothing to do with Terminal 5, which courted bad press this summer when opening hiccups led to tens of thousands of bags going missing.
Just a few days ago, Mark Price, the managing director of Waitrose talked the BAA into offering 5,000 cups of tea a day to new arrivals to improve Britain’s image to tourists.
The airport could offer passengers all the tea in China but chances are it still won’t have ironed out its baggage problems in time for London’s 2010 Olympics.
