Doom and gloom on the weather as well as the news is forcing Brits to book late summer getaways. 

According to travel website lastminute.com, the recent rise in costs and predicted credit crunch meant Brits held off on booking a holiday this year.  However with a damp squib of a summer now a certainty, sun seekers are booking late getaways in their droves. 

The site reports that European destinations are weakening as Brits look to stretch their sterling further.  Some of the most popular destinations this year include Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and Croatia.

Availability for car hire has taken a knock too in the rush to book.   Locations are selling out fast especially popular choices such as Spain car hire, Portugal car hire, Italy car hire and France car hire .  If you’re looking to get your hands on a great deal , book early to avoid disappointment.
