Liquid Luggage Restrictions Here To Stay
Posted on September 11, 2008 by Fiona Hilliard

On this the 7th anniversary of 9/11, it looks as if airline passengers will continue to be restricted by luggage restrictions on liquids, while experts predict that it will take at least 5 years to create a scanning machine that monitors all liquids without causing lengthy delays.
Since a UK terror plot in 2006, restrictions relating to carrying liquids on planes have been in place at airports all around the world.
On Monday, eight suspects escaped conviction in London over the alleged plan to blow up UK planes with home-made liquid explosives disguised as soft drinks.
However Britain’s Transport Department is ruling out any relaxation of security measures soon, saying a terror threat still exists.
