‘Why buy a Ferrari when you can rent one?’ That seems to be the thinking behind the latest upswing in luxury car hire in the US.
All across the US, fleets of the sportiest car models, from Ferraris and Aston Martins to Lamborghinis and Maseratis are flying out of car rental garages.  According to Milton Pedraza, CEO of the Luxury Institute, a research group focusing on the top 10 percent of America’s wealthy, car hire is normally the first step towards the designer car club.

Commenting on the latest trend he said:

“Luxury car clubs and rentals started taking off in America from 2001 to 2003, and have seen a big growth surge.”
