Don’t know if you’ve heard but London’s Gatwick Airport has a big FOR SALE sign on it.

BAA originally announced that it would sell Gatwick in September 2008, just before the end of the Competition Commission’s market investigation ended, but today it’s all official.

Airport authorities say that it will lead to increased competition between airports that serve the greater London area.

Meanwhile, Heathrow Airport has been voted ‘worst airport in the world’ in a worldwide poll of airline passengers.

In a poll carried out by Priority Pass, the airport ranked just below Paris Charles de Gaulle and Los Angeles LAX to claim the dubious honour.

Just a hunch, but do you think it could have anything to do with these airports being absolutely MASSIVE to walk around? Nobody wants to spend 15 to 20 minutes getting to their departure gates.  It’s all about bad planning and design, mark my words.  Give me Gatwick any day…now where did I put that £1.51 billion?
