Motorhomes Boom as Holidaymakers Look to Cut Costs

With ‘staycations’ the new buzz word in travel, motorhomes and campervans are enjoying an unexpected upsurge in popularity.
New data released from Britain’s Camping and Caravanning Club shows that bookings are up by 38 per cent on last year, a larger increase than for tents and caravans.
Sales of second hand caravans which can cost £3,500-£4,000 have increased by 15 per cent this year and the number of families booking nights at the club’s sites this week is up by 38 per cent. But why buy when you can rent? You get the same sense of freedom and you save money without the hassle of maintenance and needing somewhere to stow your van when it’s not in use. Let’s face it, campervans are huge cumbersome monsters of things, requiring secure parking spaces, cleaning and upkeep. Booking with Argus Motorhomes offers you the chance to enjoy all the comforts of home on the road. Buying a campervan is a big commitment. Why not rent one for a road test this summer -if it doesn’t work out at least you can hand the whole thing back at the end of your trip!
