Tax in the City: Dublin Tourist Levy On the Way

Dublin City Council is seriously considering slapping a tax on tourists visiting the Irish capital.
The finance committee of the council today announced plans to charge tourists €1 per bed per night in an effort to raise €24m a year.
Other ideas mooted include a plan to raise the amount that developers pay for large scale planning applications.
