In times of limited car hire availability, beggars can’t be choosers, but thank your lucky stars that you’ve never been presented with one of these beauties in place of your regular rental choice.  MSN Autos has compiled a list of what it calls Automotive Oddballs, those ‘ugly- pretty’ – others may argue pretty ugly prototypes that somehow managed to make it all the way to the showroom floor. 

Amongst the mould-breakers are the Suzuki X-90 and the Isuzu VehiCross.  Don’t say we didn’t warn you…
