Oasis Passengers Stranded in Hong Kong

Hundreds of passengers have been left high and dry in London and Vancouver by Hong Kong airline Oasis after the budget applied to go into liquidation today.  The airline made its final flight from London to Hong Kong this morning, when crew delivered the news to passengers.

Oasis launched its first flights from London Gatwick to Hong Kong in October 2006 with rates starting at £65 each way.

Argus Car Hire customers holding Oasis airline tickets are advised to call 008523628 0628 or 0844 4822323 for advice.

Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific has already stepped into breach by offering specially-priced one way flights for stranded passengers as well as laying on extra flights.

The reasons for the airline’s collapse remain unclear but the Hong Kong Economic Times is reporting that the airline was struggling with debts of up to one billion Hong Kong dollars ($128m).
