Ryanair To Charge £1 to Spend a Penny
Posted on February 27, 2009 by Fiona Hilliard
Ryanair is going to charge people to go to the toilet. We’ve heard it all now. Speaking on the Beeb this morning, Michael O’ Leary dropped the following bombshell:
“One thing we have looked at in the past and are looking at again is the possibility of maybe putting a coin slot on the toilet door so that people might actually have to spend a pound (€1.12), ($1.43) to spend a penny in future.”
He even had himself covered when cornered about what would happen if people were low on change saying: “I don’t think there is anybody in history that has got on board a Ryanair aircraft with less than a pound.”
Wait. I better watch what I say here after reading yesterday’s news of Ryanair’s cyber attack on a blogger who found a glitch in their booking system.
All I’m saying is taking a pee on a Ryanair flight might be the most expensive penny you’ve ever spent.
