Snap Happy Photo Competition: And the Winner is…..
Argus Car Hire’s Snap Happy Photo Competition was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who sent us their holiday snaps and travel tales.  In the process of selecting a winner, we sifted through hundreds of fantastic entries-what a talented bunch you are!  It must be said, we went through serious deliberation in choosing the best overall photo, but ultimately, there could only be one winner…
First Prize, Clement le Flem (France):
“A woman adjusting her dupatta after washing her laundry in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, near Hannuman Hat. In the Hindu tradition, Dhobi Wallah, i.e. people who wash other people’s laundry are considered among the most impure people as they are in contact with all the impurities of others. The friend who was with me when we saw these women couldn’t believe that despite their grace, they were considered among the lowest people in society.”
Â
Second Prize, Colin Hancox (South Africa):
“We were at Ile de Re in France in May this year, when this scooter zipped past. I just love the dog (wiener) doing a bit of back seat driving.”
Â
Third Prize, Rachel Barrett (Ireland):
Â
“On holiday in Canada, my husband and I hired a car and drove from Toronto to Montreal. On the way, we called into Omega Wildlife Park which showcased animals of North America. Guests could drive around the park and feed the animals carrots through the windows. This deer was particularly interested to see what tasty treats we might have for him!”
Â
Congratulations to the winner and runners up who receive a Canon 450 D SLR camera (1st prize), a Nintendo Wii (2nd prize) and iPod Nano Chromatic (3rd prize). Just in time for Christmas too!

Hi Harry,
Hopefully we’ll get a gallery up and running soon…yes it does look like a moose. I guess we’ll have to take her word on that one!

It’s actually a Wapiti a member of the deer family like a Moose but slightly smaller. I know because it’s me it’s slobbering on
