Look out if you’re renting a car in South Africa from Tempest this June and July – you might just get more than you bargained for. The South Africa car rental company is letting six football shaped Kia Picanto cars loose in its fleet.

The cars will be available to customers picking up at OR Tambo, Cape Town and Durban International Airports.

But don’t worry if you’re not offered one by the rental agent, you’ll still be in with a chance of winning a Kia Picanto of your very own.  All you have to do is spot one driving around the city and text your full name and car registration to 40647. The winner will be announced on July 9th 2010.  Keep an ear to your car radio for further details about how to win.

The football frenzy is of course all in aid of the FIFA World Cup which kicks off this Friday (June 11th) with Mexico v South Africa in Johannesburg.

Tempest is really going all out to lend their support to the host nation. Even at the airport pick-up desks, you’ll see ‘Go Boys’ advertising campaigns as well as  specially laid on foosball tables.  If anything, a novel way to pass the time while you wait in line at the airport….
