Stressed Workers Urged to Go Walkabout in Australia
Tourism Australia has scrapped its “Where the bloody hell are you?” campaign and employed Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann to direct a polished cinematic TV ad.
The ad bears little resemblance to its predecessor which featured a bikini-clad woman asking “Where the bloody hell are you?”. The star of the latest commercial is an Aboriginal boy who asks a harassed New York worker to “go walkabout”.
The ad campaign is being launched on terrestial UK channels ITV1 and Channel 4 this week. It’s guaranteed to strike a chord with sun-starved Brits looking for adventure in Australia.
