UK tourists may be the worst behaved tourists in the world, but they do it in style, according the latest findings by Expedia’s Best Tourist League 2008.

In a poll of 4000 hotels worldwide, the survey found the Brits to be the rudest, messiest and loudest, while their counterparts from Japan, Germany and the US won out in terms of politeness. 

Tourists from Italy were said to be the best dressed, closely followed by the British. 

The Japanese were praised for their quiet and tidy natures, while tourists from India, France, Russia and Mexico finished bottom of the tourist league table.
