Planning the road trip of a lifetime across the United States?  Now is a great time to hit the road.  With the annual springtime migration of cars underway from the southern states of the US to the north, fantastic car hire Florida rates can be found right now, starting at an unbeatable $5.  Most enticingly, these rates apply if you pick-up in Florida and drive your car almost anywhere else in the country. 

Road trippers should note however that these deals are limited to a one or two week maximum rental and the prices don’t include taxes, insurance or fuel. 

Hertz is offering rentals from seven major Florida airports to more than 60 locations for as little as $5 a day or $20 a week.  This offer is open until June 30th.  Meanwhile, Avis have cars at locations all over Florida to anywhere outside of the state for as little as $5 to June 30th.  If you’re looking to arrive in style, convertibles and SUVs are just $17 a day.
