In these credit crunching days, it’s worth your while shopping around to find the cheapest car hire deals.  Think about it, you wouldn’t book the first flights or accommodation that you come across, so why would you go for the first rental car you find?

There are a lot of great deals out there at the moment-you just need to do some homework. 

Take Autoeurope and Argus Car Hire for example.  This week, Argus Car Hire is offering one-week Ireland car hire for £78, while Autoeurope is charging £115 for the same deal.  Meanwhile, Autoeurope is boasting about its Switzerland car hire rates (£152).  Some savvy shopping around though, will lead you to a saving of £18 when you book with Argus Car Hire.
