We’ve all heard of sun, sand and sangria, but how does the idea of sun, sangria and SNOW grab you?

Spain’s national tourist board is launching a new winter tourism campaign in September expected to focus on snow and skiing.

The new “Winter in Spain” campaign is set to swap its traditional image of sun-drenched beaches in favour of snow covered mountain ranges and active pursuits.

It is hoped that the new winter initiatives will up this year’s visitor numbers, which have dropped by eight per cent compared with the same period last year.

We know it’s still  August, but it’s never too early to start planning your winter escape.

Argusski is offering cheap ski packages from just €440.

Booking your Spain car hire early makes sense too.  Right now, Argus Car Hire is offering car rental in Spain from just €15 per day.

*Price quoted is based on the 7 day rental of a mini/economy sized vehicle booked by September 3rd 2008.
