Yorkshire Bread Exported to France

Posted on May 07, 2008 by Fiona Hilliard

John Foster a director of a bakery firm in Barnsley, South Yorkshire is celebrating after landing a lucrative order from the home of bread, France.

Yes, over 7,000 British loaves will be slicing (sorry) their way over the Channel to France where they will be used for Croque-Monsieurs which is the beautful French term for a Ham and Cheese Toastie.

So if you ever take car hire France with Argus and stop by the little quaint Boulangerie then be prepared to nibble on a British Bun.
